Fahim De Leener
Place 1 - Flemish Parliament (successor)
A Flemish community which fully invests in Brussels: in Dutch-speaking education and kindergartens, in social and cultural policy, at the level of the city and is open to all Brusseleir who love Dutch.
Fahim sees himself as a pragmatic dreamer. He lives in Cureghem and works for the social worker for young people in Brussels. He wants a Family Justice Centre to be created in Brussels in which the police, the public prosecutor’s department and social services would work together on issues of violence within the family. This would be a place for victims and perpetrators. Fahim is also the President of the board of directors of UNIA, the independent public service for the fight against discrimination and the promotion of equal opportunities. During his free time, he often goes jogging along the canal to prepare himself for his next triathlon. He also thinks that Brussels should have more places for running. When he is not running this big cinema fan loves going to the cinema.
